THUNDER BAY — Police have laid charges in connection with a shoplifting spree that saw the same business targeted 30 times over a period of six months.
Details of the case were revealed by police Tuesday.
The Thunder Bay Police Service said officers responded Monday afternoon to a report of a theft from a business in the 300 block of Main Street, where the Thunder Centre retail complex is located.
They identified a female suspect believed to have been involved in 29 previous incidents at the same store.
Members of the break-and-enter and robbery unit located her in the vicinity a short time later and took her into custody.
The 33-year-old woman is charged with 30 counts of theft under $5,000.
She made her initial appearance in court on Tuesday.
