Sioux Lookout police investigate sexual assault

Police responded to an injured female found laying on a public trail on July 11. Investigation revealed the female had been sexually assaulted.

SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON - Sioux Lookout OPP are investigating a sexual assault, and are asking for the public's assistance.

On July 11, at approximately 11 p.m., officers were dispatched to a trail between Queen Elizabeth District High School and Sutton Place apartment building where they located an injured female.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for serious injuries. Investigation revealed that the female had been sexually assaulted.

The female is currently in stable condition, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
