Sioux Lookout woman charged after $13K in fraudulent credit card advances

SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ont. – A 44-year-old Sioux Lookout woman has been charged after allegedly making fraudulent credit card cash advances of more than $13,000.

The charges are the culmination of a nearly eight-month investigation by provincial police in Sioux Lookout that began in March, the OPP said in a media release issued Thursday.

The accused has been charged with 13 counts of fraud under $5,000 and two counts of theft of a credit card.

She is expected to appear in Sioux Lookout court on Dec. 19.
