THUNDER BAY — Ontario Provincial Police in Thunder Bay have laid a slate of charges against six people after a roughly three-week-long investigation into drug trafficking.
According to a media release issued on Thursday, OPP said the investigation led to the seizure of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, Percocet pills and illegal cannabis.
The probe ran from April 21 to May 9, the OPP said and also involved city police.
A 49 year-old British Columbia woman was charged with possessing cocaine, methamphetamine and other drugs for the purpose of trafficking, while five people from Thunder Bay — a 57 year-old man, a 42 year-old man, a 48 year-old man, a 43 year-old man and a 27 year-old woman — face a variety of drug possession and trafficking charges, most pertaining to cocaine and opioids.
The 42 year-old man and the 48 year-old man remain in custody, police said.
All six accused have future court dates.
