Smell of smoke is from Minnesota fire: Fire Rescue

Officials with the Thunder Bay Fire Rescue say they have received a number of phone calls regarding the smell of smoke in the area. The smell is coming from an 11,000-acre forest fire that is now burning near Ely, Minn.

The wind is blowing the smoke from the fire directly to the City of Thunder Bay.

Residents will likely smell this smoke until the wind changes directions.
