The Driven to Quit challenge is back for its sixth year and organizers are looking for local tobacco users to kick the habit.

The Thunder Bay contest was launched Tuesday as part of the provincial challenge to residents to quit smoking for the month of March. Participants have the chance to walk away with some life-changing prizes said the Canadian Cancer Society’s Naomi McNeill including a Honda Hybrid, vacation getaways, Mastercard gift certificates and the grand prize of saving your life.

Roughly 29,000 people signed up for the challenge around the province last year with 1,600 participants from Northwestern Ontario. The deadline is Feb. 28.
