A portion of Arthur Street was closed Saturday night as police investigated a two-car collision that sent two males to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police on scene said a Ford Focus travelling eastbound at about 10:45 p.m. collided with a Maza 3 travelling westbound on the snow-covered thoroughfare. It appears the front wheels of the Focus were sheared off, and came to rest in the middle of the street. Police said it's too early in the investigation to determine the cause of the crash.

Police say Highway Traffic Act charges are pending.
