Special Investigations Unit to take over altercation incident

The Province's Special Investigations Unit has taken over the investigation of an incident Wednesday night at the Sioux Lookout OPP detachment.

SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ont. -- The Province's Special Investigations Unit has taken over the investigation of an incident Wednesday night at the Sioux Lookout OPP detachment.

Few details have been released.

All the OPP are saying is that an altercation between two men who were in custody resulted in injuries.

So far, there is no word from the SIU on the nature of the injuries suffered or police involvement in the altercation.
