One person was taken to hospital as a precaution after a minor fire at the Sports Dome.
Officials with Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded after a soccer ball was kicked and became lodged into a light panel where it caught fire on Sunday morning.
A volunteer immediately grabbed a fire extinguisher and was boosted by another volunteer where he was able to put out the flames.
That second volunteer was taken to hospital as a precaution with smoke inhalation.
The building had to be evacuated and was re-opened approximately an hour later after fire crews ensured adequate ventilation had taken place.
