THUNDER BAY - A $10 ticket won Joe Bouley a brand new recreational vehicle with an estimated retail value of $42,499.

The RV was the grand prize of St. John Ambulance’s eighth annual Spring into Summer draw.

The tickets, which were on sale starting earlier this spring, all sold out for the draw.

The money raised will go towards the organization’s community service programs like their car seat inspection program, their school education programs, and their medical first response division.

“This fundraiser in particular gives us the funds to perform the duties for our community,” said board chair Lorne Clifford.

“Our biggest role in the community is providing medical first response,” said Kara Yawney, St. John’s fund development co-ordinator.

“I’m fundraising all year round with Camp 911, all the way into Operation Red Nose. So, I’m always busy.”

Timmy Ehn won the second-place prize, which was two kayaks and paddles. The third place ticket belonged to Mandie Loveday, a trip for two courtesy of WestJet.
