St. Joseph’s Foundation is pleased to announce a new raffle, allowing the winner to gain the freedom of fun and economical city commutes.

This year, partnering with Excalibur Motorcycle Works and the Motorcycle Safety Training Course, St. Joseph’s Foundation is raffling a 2016 Yamaha Vino.  The Vino is a limited speed motorcycle.  The prize package also comes with a $500 Excalibur gift certificate (to buy all the extras you will need such as a great quality and stylish helmet), as well as registration to the 2018 Motorcycle Safety Training Course offered in Thunder Bay.  This course will allow the user to feel confident on the road as well as gain better skills and abilities.

In Europe limited speed motorcycles are common place, and a standard for commuters.  In Northern Ontario they are rather new.  These ‘bikes’ are not to be used in the bicycle lane and are not the same as E-bikes.  These are actually mopeds and will allow the user to get up to speeds of 70 km/h.  They are great for in-town commutes.  With automatic transmission, a manageable weight and sturdy design they are perfect to go to work, to school, or for your everyday travel.  “I’ve been riding motorcycles for decades, and these mopeds are fun to ride.” says Larry Lage, owner of Excalibur Motorcycle Works.

The proceeds from the raffle will be directed to Mental Health and Addictions services at St. Joseph’s Care Group.

Tickets are on sale for $5 each, 3 for $10 or 7 for $20.  Tickets can be purchased at St. Joseph’s Foundation or at Excalibur Motorcycle Works (Walsh St.).  More information can be found on the St. Joseph’s Foundation website www.sjftb.net

The draw will take place Sept. 1, 2017 at 2pm at Excalibur Motorcycle Works (1425 Walsh St.).
