UPDATE: Stabbing victim sent to hospital

Police hunting for suspect, holding pedestrian bridge off of Southern Avenue.

THUNDER BAY – A man has been sent to hospital with unknown stabbing injuries.

Thunder Bay Police, in a release issued Friday afternoon, say the victim was allegedly assaulted by another male, who remains on the loose and police on the hunt to track him down.

Police were holding the scene at a pedestrian bridge at Southern Avenue and McMillan Street and asking the public to avoid the area. The scene was released Friday evening.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to phone police at 684-1200.
