THUNDER BAY – A source has told tbnewswatch.com that Matt Murray will have his day with the Stanley Cup on Aug. 12.
However, it appears the Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender is planning a much lower-key affair than his public celebration last summer.
Murray in 2016, after winning his first Stanley Cup championship, brought the trophy to Intercity Shopping Centre, where he posed for pictures with hockey fans young and old.
There is no word on exactly what Murray’s plans for his 2017 celebration are at this point in time.
The date has not been independently confirmed with Murray by tbnewswatch.com.
