Stewart Kennedy has a new position at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
The local doctor was announced as Executive Vice President of Medical and Academic Affairs Tuesday.
Kennedy’s will be responsible for clinical programs and services. He will also handle all academic affairs, working with hospital staff and leaders at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.
Along with his work as a family physician, Kennedy was medical officer of Health Canada in the city, a provincial coroner and the past president of the Ontario Medical Association.
He replaces Dr. Gordon Porter who is moving onto the Chief of Staff.
