THUNDER BAY – Failure to stop at a stop sign is the cause of a Wednesday morning crash on the Trans-Canada Highway, the OPP say.

Provincial police officers responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and transport at the intersection of Highway 102 and Highway 11/17 just before 11:30 a.m.

The driver of the pickup truck was travelling on Highway 102 and collided with the transport which was headed westbound on Highway 11/17, the OPP said in a news release.

There were no injuries reported, police added.

The highway was closed for about 90 minutes while the vehicles and debris were removed from the roadway.

A 32-year-old Thunder Bay man has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with failing to stop at a stop sign.
