THUNDER BAY – Early morning thunder storms led to power outages throughout the city’s outskirts and the Northwest region.
Hydro One crews had to make repairs for about 560 customers in the Gillies area southwest of Thunder Bay.
Another 180 customers near Whitefish Lake were affected.
Areas near Kenora were much harder hit.
Numerous outages affecting nearly 2,000 customers have kept crews busy Thursday morning.
