Dryden town council has approved a $1.8 million contract that will improve seven kilometres of road along Highway 17.
Motorists on the highway have had to deal with potholes in all three lanes of traffic. City workers will be carrying out the work with the province covering about one-third of the cost.
The city received $550,000 from the province for construction last year for the Duke Street overpass but that money wasn’t used at that time.
