THUNDER BAY – A driver caught doing burnouts in a local parking lot faces a rash of additional charges after police pulled him over recently.

Ontario Provincial Police say officers witnessed the driver doing burnouts and pulled him over on Highway 17.

Upon further investigation, the man had unpaid fines, the licence plate was not authorized for the type of vehicle he was driving and the vehicle did not have valid insurance.

The man was also charged with stunt driving, which comes with an automatic 30-day licence suspension, a 14-day vehicle impoundment and fines of up to $10,000.

Police did not name the accused.
