Sudden death in Kenora

The body of a person who was announced missing on July 1 was found off Dog Tooth Lake, off Highway 17.

KENORA, ON -- Ontario Provincial Police have confirmed the death of a person who had been missing since July 1.

On July 5 at approximately 4 p.m., Kenora OPP received a complaint of an abandoned vehicle on Highway 17 near Dog Tooth Lake.

Police searched and located a deceased male within the vicinity of his vehicle, with assistance from the Northwest Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team.

Police determined the vehicle belonged to a missing person reported to Stonewall Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

There is no foul play suspected.
