The Thunder Bay Police Service is conducting a sudden death investigation following the discovery of a deceased 49-year-old Thunder Bay man.
Officers were originally dispatched to a residential address in the 500 block of North Cumberland Street to assist paramedics at about 4:40 p.m. on Monday, March 1.
When first responders arrived they located a male with vital signs absent. Despite life-saving efforts the male was pronounced dead at the scene.
Members of the TBPS’s Major Crimes Unit are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the male’s death.
A post-mortem examination is pending and police continue to hold the scene.
