A research firm that tracks the hiring climate across Canada is projecting good things for Thunder Bay over the next three months.
Manpower Inc. officials say survey data shows 28 per cent of Thunder Bay area employers plan to hire new staff during the second quarter of 2011.
Just three per cent of employers anticipate cutbacks while the other 69 per cent say they plan to maintain the status quo.
Those numbers are a huge improvement over the same time period last year.
