Suspect arrested in armed robbery case

Police arrested a local 23-year-old man in connection to an armed robbery of an area convenience store early Friday morning. Thunder Bay Police Service say officers took the man into custody at 10:35 a.m. at a Limbrick Street residence on Saturday.

Police arrested a local 23-year-old man in connection to an armed robbery of an area convenience store early Friday morning.

Thunder Bay Police Service say officers took the man into custody at 10:35 a.m. at a Limbrick Street residence on Saturday.

Police charged the man with armed robbery and wearing a disguise.

Police say a lone male walked into the Mac’s on North Edward Street and robbed it using a handgun. The incident took place around 2 a.m. Friday.

Police say an undisclosed amount of cash was taken along with some merchandise from the store.

The man was scheduled to appear in court Sunday.
