Suspect arrested in Hodder Avenue homicide, one suspect remains at large

THUNDER BAY - Police have arrested one suspect in connection to the death of Adrian Anthony Richardson and are looking for one other suspect.

Members of the Thunder Bay Police Service responded to a call for assistance in the 400 block of Hodder Avenue at approximately 11:30 p.m. on the night of May 2.

Police located a 29-year-old man later identified as Adrian Anthony Richardson with serious injuries sustained during a shooting incident. Richardson was pronounced dead at the scene from his injuries.

On Sunday, June 12, 2022, members of the Thunder Bay Police Service’s BEAR and Major Crime Units located and arrested Jacob Green, 20, of Thunder Bay, in the area of Castlegreen housing complex.

Green has been charged with first-degree murder.

He is scheduled to appear in bail court on Monday.

The Major Crime Unit is actively looking to identify one outstanding male believed to be involved in the murder of Adrian Richardson.

The suspect is described as a male, standing about five-foot-eight, with a skinny or average build, and black curly hair. He is believed to be between the ages of 17 and 21 years old. In the video surveillance footage, he appears to be wearing a grey New Balance sweatshirt.

The accused is believed to be armed and dangerous. If you see this person, please do not approach and instead find a safe place where you can call 911.
