THUNDER BAY – A suspect has been arrested in connection with a serious assault on Sunday in the 500 block of North James Street.

Sheldon Dennis Oombash, 25, appeared in court on Wednesday morning to face charges of aggravated assault and has been remanded into custody. He was arrested on Tuesday night in the Limbrick area.

Police say the 23-year-old male victim remains in hospital in serious condition and that they’ve been in contact with the man’s family.
