Suspect arrested in window-smashing spree at Dryden Police Station

Damages are estimated at over $10,000.

DRYDEN, Ont. — The sound of shattering glass got the immediate attention of officers with the Dryden Police Service on Sunday morning.

According to the DPS, at about 6 a.m. on Dec. 27, a man showed up at the police station with a baseball bat, and began swinging at the windows.

By the time he was finished, numerous windows had been broken.

The estimated cost of repairs is over $10,000.

A 48-year-old Dryden man was taken into custody at the scene without incident, and charged with mischief.

He's scheduled for a court appearance Tuesday afternoon via video link.
