Police are looking for the public's help after an arson incident at the Balsam Street pits Thursday afternoon.
Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say an eye witness noticed three youths attempting to light the dugout from the north end on fire.
Thunder Bay firefighters were able to quickly douse the flames, but there was damage to the bench and the roof of the dugout.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact police.
