Police are looking for the public's help in apprehending scrap metal thieves flying a Canadian flag atop a pickup truck.
Lakeside Injection & Turbo Ltd. in Intercity has been a target for those looking to steal scrap for about a decade but the audacity of flying the flag while committing a crime made manager Kelly McKinnon turn to social media to express her frustration.
"Usually when you fly a flag, you're patriotic and you're proud to be Canadian. That's how I see it," she said.
"But I don't think you should be proud to be a thief so I think they just contradict each other."
Lakeside Injection recently posted video cameras and McKinnon wanted to send a message to scrap thieves that their criminal behaviour is now under surveillance.
No one has yet been charged in the July 6 incident.
Thunder Bay Police urge anyone with information that might identify those in this video to come forward.
