Suspects sought in early morning robbery

City police seek two suspects in connection with a early morning robbery.

THUNDER BAY -- A woman was assaulted early Thursday morning during a robbery in the parking lot of a Cumberland Street convenience store.

The 44-year-old woman was in her vehicle just before 12:30 a.m. in the parking of Mac’s Convenience Store when a man and woman approached her vehicle, grabbed and assaulted her before they fled on foot southbound on Cumberland Street.

According to a release, the suspects left with the woman’s cell phone and money that was in her bag.

The victim was not injured during the altercation.

The first suspect is described as a Caucasian man standing five-foot-nine inches with a heavy build. He was about 35 years old.

The second suspect is described as a Caucasian woman with brown hair and a heavy build.
