A female driver was sent to hospital Tuesday night after striking a parked truck on Edward Street and flipping her SUV.

The SUV came to rest on its side, near the Walsh Street intersection, its front windshield smashed and considerable damage to the rear of the truck.

Police said they believe the injuries were minor and that the woman managed to walk away from the wreck.

Police have charged the driver with careless driving.
