The Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra appointed Clint Kuschak as its new interim general manager.
The Wednesday announcement by the Symphony states that Kuschak is expected to begin his new role by March 17. Kuschak managed the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium for 13 years and was part of the team that brought the auditorium to the city.
"We are thrilled that Clint has accepted the position," TBSO president Paul Inksetter is quoted as saying in a news release issued Wednesday.
"His ongoing commitment to Thunder Bay culture combined with his management experience make him the ideal candidate."
Symphony officials say he has consulting experience across the region and a longstanding commitment to the community through work with several non-profit organizations. Kuschak replaces Leanne Atkinson, who is taking a 10-month maternity leave.
"I’m honoured to be chosen to guide the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra’s upcoming season and to play a key role for such an important cultural institution that has been an integral part of our city’s fabric for nearly 50 years," Kuschak said.
