It's an annual showcase, capturing the talent and creativity of kids at Lakehead Public Schools.

On Wednesday evening, students, teachers, family and friends packed the Fort William Gardens for the 24th annual Creative Movement Jamboree.

In a celebration of colour and culture, more than 600 students from all Lakehead Public Schools took to the floor as part of a mass dance routine, before breaking up into 16 different groups to perform their own unique act.

Jamboree Convener and CD Howe Principal Pauline Fontaine called it a great way to celebrate the diverse tapestry that makes up our community.

The students have been rehearsing their routines for months leading up to the evening's showcase.

Fontaine insists the event couldn't be possible without the 50-plus teachers and dozens of other Lakehead Public School staff members that volunteered countless hours of their time.
