Tbaytel customers will experience outages as repairs continue

Tbaytel customers in the Intercity area and several outlying rural areas can expect service outages to phone, TV, and internet for up to six hours as crews continue to make repairs following damage to infrastructure on Monday

THUNDER BAY - Tbaytel customers may experience further disruptions as crews continue to make repairs to infrastructure that was damaged on Monday.

According to a Tbaytel release issued Wednesday afternoon, customers in the Intercity area and several outlying rural areas will experience a disruption to landline phone, TV, and Internet service beginning at 2 p.m on Wednesday.  The outage could last up to six hours.

Service was first disrupted Monday afternoon after city crews repairing a water main break on Memorial Avenue struck Tbaytel’s underground fibre and copper lines. Service was restored Tuesday.
