THUNDER BAY – The first local Call of Duty Black Ops 3 eSports championship tournament saw team Oblivion take top spot.
The team, which includes Justin Dafoe, Adam Costa, Justin Lukasek and Daneil Lukasek, defeated Sinister Gaming in weekend tournament at Thunder Games and Gifts on Red River Road.
The finals was down to the wire, with the fifth match of the best-of-five series being the deciding game.
Morituri eSports is a new local organization that plans to hold regular tournaments for competitive gamers.
A second tournament for Call of Duty Black Ops 3 on the PlayStation 4 is expected in August, but details are still being worked out.
