THUNDER BAY -- The Teen Challenge Sled for Eternity raised almost $50,000 as riders hit the trails Saturday morning for the third annual snowmobile tour.

The annual 180 to 250-kilometre ride for Adult and Teen Challenge supports local men and women struggling with drug addiction.

"They are raising money for a good cause and the more money they raise the better their prize will be," said Adult and Teen Challenge.director Robby Ahuja.

Some of the top prizes included a 2016 Yamaha Phazer X-TX, 2009 Honda BBR600rr, 2010 Toyota Corolla CE and a four day fishing trip for four.

"There were two big snowmobile events in town," said Ahuja. "There was Teen Challenge and Snowarama for Easter Seals and I think what we did was split the participants, so we had about eighty riders here today."
