Teen pleads guilty to manslaughter in stabbing death

A two-week long murder trial has come to an abrupt halt at Thunder Bay's Superior Court of Justice. A teenage boy charged with second-degree murder entered a guilty plea Tuesday to the reduced charge of manslaughter.

A two-week long murder trial has come to an abrupt halt at Thunder Bay's Superior Court of Justice.

A teenage boy charged with second-degree murder entered a guilty plea Tuesday to the reduced charge of manslaughter. 

The fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old teen occurred on the Fort Hope reserve on July 24, 2010.

The accused, who cannot be identified, was 15 at the time and is now 17 years old.  A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for Apr.17.
