Teens arrested after vape store break-in

A 13-year-old and 14-year old have been arrested after a break-and-enter at a north side vape shop early Tuesday morning.

THUNDER BAY — Police have charged two teens in connection with an early-morning break-in at a Thunder Bay vape shop.

Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service were dispatched to a business in the 800s block of Red River Road just after 3:50 a.m. on Tuesday, after receiving reports of a break-and-enter.

Officers learned en route that a suspect had been observed making a forced entry to the business and fleeing with undisclosed merchandise.

Police located and arrested two teens on Oak Avenue within six minutes after being dispatched, the police service said in a release Tuesday.

The force added an investigation revealed the two youth suspects had been involved in the break-in.

A 14-year-old female and 13-year-old male, both from Thunder Bay, are each charged with break and enter and disguise with intent, and were scheduled to appear in bail court in on Tuesday.

The identities of the accused are withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
