Teens sought after smashing into convenience store

Break and enter happened at Mac's location on Balsam and River streets early Wednesday morning.

THUNDER BAY -- Police are working to identify two teen suspects who smashed their way into a north side convenience store.

Thunder Bay police were called to the Mac's location at the corner of Balsam and River Street just after 1:30 a.m. Wednesday morning after storefront glass was broken to allow the suspects to enter the building.

Police said the two male suspects took cigarettes and left before officers arrived.

The first suspect was wearing red sweatpants, a grey and red hoodie and a black ball cap. The second suspect was wearing black pants with a white stripe, a red hoodie and a red ball cap.

Anyone with information about the identities of the two suspects is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
