THUNDER BAY -- The Ministry of Labour confirms a company has been fined following the death of a young worker in 2011.
The 24-year-old man was working on a bucket lift platform at the McKenzie River Bridge.
An MOL spokesperson says the company pleaded guilty in Thunder Bay court for failing to ensure the platform was used on a firm and level surface.
Tera North has been fined $115,000 along with a 25 per cent victim surcharge.
