Mixed Company Theatre kicked off its province-wide Project ACT tour this afternoon at the Thunder Bay Boys and Girls Club. The unique brand of theatre targets students. It not only entertains but educates its audiences through a post-show discussion.

Students are then encouraged to put their learning into action in schools and in the community.

Show assistant director Duncan McCallum said the brand of theatre helps empower youth to make positive changes.

Project ACT is supported by the Ontario Ministry of Health.

Theatre officials hope to return to Thunder Bay for additional performances in early 2011.
