A Thunder Bay woman charged with fraud and theft will spend nine months behind bars.
Toni Powers, 53, was found guilty Monday of stealing nearly $150,000 from the Lakehead University's bookstore.
Powers was employed at the bookstore when the theft took place. She said she used the money to pay for her gambling problem.
In addition to the jail term, Justice Joyce Pelletier also sentenced Power to a one-year conditional term. She has also been ordered to repay the $150,000.
