THUNDER BAY – Three people have been arrested following reports of copper wire theft.
Thunder Bay Police Service responded to a call from Thunder Bay Hydro about a break and enter at its Front Street maintenance yard Wednesday morning.
The officers found that a large amount of copper wire had been taken. A vehicle with around 400 pounds of copper wire was stopped near the Marina Park overpass a short time later. The 21-year-old female driver and 35 and 23-year-old male occupants have been charged with break and enter, possession of break and enter instruments and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
