(PIKANGIKUM FIRST NATION, ON) – Following an incident that occurred on June 27, 2015 in the community of Pikangikum First Nation, members of the North West Region Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit conducted a thorough investigation into the matter and numerous individuals have now been arrested and charged.

The following individuals were arrested July 7, 2015 or July 8, 2015:

Lovina PASCAL, a 30-year-old female from Pikangikum has been charged with the following offence contrary to the Criminal Code:

• Assault a Peace Officer with a Weapon
Jerius QUILL, a 44-year-old male from Pikangikum has been charged with:
• Break, Enter a Place - Commit Indictable Offence
• Mischief Over $5,000

Bradley Kelly SUGGASHIE, a 30-year-old male from Pikangikum has been charged with:
• Break, Enter a Place – Commit Indictable Offence
• Break, Enter a Dwelling House with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence
• Mischief Over $5,000 x 2

Daniel TURTLE, a 19-year-old male from Pikangikum has been charged with:
• Mischief Over $5,000 x 2

Also arrested and charged were four young persons from Pikangikum: a 13-year-old male for Mischief Under $5,000 and Break, Enter a Place - Commit Indictable Offence; a 15-year-old male for two counts of Mischief Over $5,000; a 15-year-old female for Break, Enter a Place - Commit Indictable Offence, Mischief Over $5,000, Mischief Under $5,000; and a 16-year-old female for two counts of Mischief Over $5,000, Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking, and Break, Enter a Place - Commit an Indictable Offence.
