Police seized oxycodone, marijuana and cash after searching a hotel room in Sioux Lookout hotel Monday.

Officials with the Sioux Lookout detachment of the OPP say their officers, along with officers from the northwest region crime unit and Lac Seul police community drug action team, searched the hotel after receiving information about alleged drug trafficking.

As a result of that search, officers seized 80 oxycodone pills, three grams of marijuana and $1,250 in cash.

Police say they believe the street value of the items seized amounts to about $12,500.

Three people from Thunder Bay were charged after the search. A 36-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance and possession of property obtained by crime.

A 15-year-old suspect was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and two counts of breaching release orders.

The three suspects were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
