Three city police officers will head to New York to honour the victims of 9-11.
Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service confirmed Friday morning that three of their officers – Const. Roxanne Samec, Det.-Const Heidi Moore and Det.-Const. Diane MacLarin – to New York for the 10th anniversary ceremonies.
The local officers will gather with thousands of colleagues to honour the people who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks.
The officers will make the journey on their own time and have made this a personal effort.
Each officer has a special plaque that will be presented during the ceremonies in New York.
