IGNACE, Ont. - Three people are dead following a collision on Highway 17 west of Ignace, Ont.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police, officers responded to a motor vehicle collision at approximately 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon 25 kilometres west of Ignace involving a environmental waste collection truck and a pick-up truck.
The three fatalities were all in the same vehicle. Highway 17 remains closed and OPP investigators remain on the scene.
Westbound traffic is being rerouted via Highway 11 at Shabaqua and traffic is also being rerouted via Highway 622.
The investigation is ongoing.
