Three new COVID-19 cases in Kenora area

KENORA, Ont. - The Northwestern Health Unit has confirmed three new COVID-19 cases in the Kenora area.

The health unit confirmed the news in a Facebook post Saturday night, but provided no further details. In the post, the health unit advised that contact tracing was underway, and anyone determined to be at risk would be contacted.

Chief of nearby Wabaseemoong Independent Nation made reference to a new case in his community Saturday.

With the new cases, the Northwestern Health Unit has now reported 25 cases in its territory, which includes Rainy River district and part of the Kenora district. 21 of those cases are considered resolved.
