Three people are in custody following an assault and robbery on a lone woman

THUNDER BAY – Three people are in custody following reports of late-night assault and robbery on a woman in the Intercity area Monday.

Thunder Bay Police Service officials say they received a 911 call from a passerby indicating a woman was being attacked by two men and one woman.

The 22-year-old victim had been walking up Memorial Avenue across from Intercity Shopping Centre when three individuals jumped her and took her backpack.

Officers at the scene were quickly able to locate the two male and one female suspects a short distance away.

The victim reported minor injuries.

Serenity Stephanie Nodin, 18, Kyle Slipperjack, 20, and Jon Jordi Sugarhead, 20, have been charged with robbery.

They have all been remanded into custody and await a court appearance scheduled for Aug. 19.
