Three people charge in connection with Waterford Street assault

Police charge three individuals involved in a Tuesday morning assault.

THUNDER BAY – Three individuals have been charged in an assault that occurred Tuesday in the intercity area.

Thunder Bay Police said officers were dispatched just after 8:30 a.m. after an incident in the 1100 block of Waterford Street, which runs between Dunlop and Carrick streets.

They found an injured person who appeared to have been assaulted.

The individual was taken to hospital for treatment.

As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old man, a 32-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman have been charged with assault causing bodily harm. The 22-year-old has also been charged with obstructing a peace officer.

All three individuals have been remanded into custody pending future court appearance.
