Three residents charged with assault with a weapon

Police charged three people in separate incidents involving weapons that left one in the hospital and another with a broken arm. Thunder Bay Police Service officers say at approximately 4:30 a.m.
Police charged three people in separate incidents involving weapons that left one in the hospital and another with a broken arm.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers say at approximately 4:30 a.m. Sunday, two men were arguing in a north ward residence which moved on to the street. Police says the 29-year-old man assaulted the other with a knife. Paramedics took the victim to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with minor injuries.

Police placed the 29-year-old man under arrest.

At approximately 11 a.m. police say a 50 year-old-man threatened another man with a knife in the south ward area. Police charged the 50-year-old-man with assault with a weapon, uttering threats and mischief.

An hour later, police responded to a call involving a male and female. Police say the 21-year-old-female assaulted the male with a hockey stick and broke his arm.
