Power restored for three rural schools

High winds downed power lines overnight.

THUNDER BAY — Wind-related power failures led to the closures of three rural schools Thursday morning.

According to Lakehead Public School officials the power has since been restored and Whitefish Valley, Crestview and Kakabeka public school are now open, but buses are not running.

All buses are running for high schools.
